As per Neb. Rev. State Stat. Sec.25-2221: On the below listed dates all courts and their offices may be closed.

If any such Holiday falls on Saturday, the preceding Friday shall be a holiday. If any such Holiday falls on a Sunday, the following day, Monday, shall be a holiday.

If the date designated by the State for observance of any legal holiday pursuant to this section, except Veterans Day, is different from the date of observance of such holiday pursuant to a federal holiday schedule, the federal holiday schedule shall be observed.

The Courthouse will be closed on the following dates:

  • January 16
    Martin Luther King Jr.’s Birthday - The third Monday in January
  • February 20
    President’s Day - The third Monday in February
  • April 28
    Arbor Day - The last Friday in April
  • May 29
    Memorial Day - The last Monday in May
  • June 19
    Juneteenth - June 19th
  • July 4
    Independence Day - July 4th
  • September 4
    Labor Day - The first Monday in September
  • October 9
    Columbus Day - The second Monday in October
  • November 10
    Veterans Day - November 11th
  • November 23
    Thanksgiving Day - The fourth Thursday in November
  • November 24
    Day after Thanksgiving Day - The Friday directly following Thanksgiving Day
  • December 25
    Christmas Day - December 25th
